  15. Thank you for looking at VirusNet LAN, an automatic anti-virus, software
  16. distribution and event scheduling system from Safetynet, Inc.  This eval
  17. is identical to the live package except for a few Eval messages displayed
  18. on its screens.  VirusNet LAN has passed the certification tests of
  19. independent agencies such as the National Computer Security Association
  20. and provides effective protection against viruses.

  22. A. Installing VirusNet LAN from Windows
  23.  
  24. 1. Start Microsoft Windows.
  25. 2. Run SETUP.EXE from the directory where VirusNet LAN files are stored.
  26. 3. You will have the option of creating a Program Manager group
  27.    to launch the VirusNet LAN programs.  If you are not using Program
  28.    Manager, add LANSDW.EXE to your menu shell.

  32. The DOS eval is installed by copying the VirusNet LAN files to a
  33. network directory.

  39. VirusNet LAN is configured through its LAN Scheduler & Distribution
  40. (LANSD) Network Console.

  42. From Windows:
  43. 1. Select the "Console for Windows" icon or run LANSDW.EXE directly.
  44. 2. Configure the settings.
  45.    - Extensive context-sensitive help is available by pressing F1.
  46. 3. Add LANAGENT to the login script to distribute those settings to
  47.    each workstation.
